In order to gain access to Global Markets, small and medium sized producers must implement and maintain compliance to international standards. Part of the process for compliance focuses on:

1st PARTY AUDITS, AKA INTERNAL AUDITS and SELF ASSESSMENT​

Blue Moon helps producers Identify the root cause of issues hindering compliance and suggests preventive and corrective measures.

  • Addressing issues such as lack of sufficient human resources, or the know how to conduct a self-assessment/ internal audit to verify their compliance level to international standards.

for global retailers

Our international clients commission Blue Moon to monitor the compliance of their Egyptian suppliers.

We audit the site and report our findings to the client in the form of:

2nd PARTY AUDITS

  • Assess the suppliers compliance to the standard

  • Identify the cause of specific  problems and the necessary action to be taken.

  • Follow up on the implementation of the necessary corrective actions.

For some specific standards, members of Blue Moon’s team are the approved auditors, commissioned by the Certification Body (flo-cert’s FAIRTRADE & SEDEX’s SMETA Audits for example) to run 3rd party audits on the producer to identify compliance level.

  • Evaluate compliance of the producer against the standard’s checklist

  • Identify points of noncompliance

  • Report findings to the Certification Body
